Key responsibilities:
- Complying with all company policies and procedures;
- To verify compliance with drafts of orders, instructions, provisions and other documents of a legal nature submitted to the company’s management for signature with legal requirements;
- Preparation of drafts of civil contracts, verification of legality of drafts of contracts submitted to the company by counterparties; taking measures to resolve disputes on draft contracts;
- Ensuring notarial approval or state registration of different types of contracts are in place;
- If necessary, assist HR Manager in ensuring the dismissal or transfer of company employees, as well as the imposition of administrative fines on employees, are implemented in accordance with legislation;
- Rendering written and verbal consultation to the company employees on various legal issues, providing legal assistance in drafting legal documents;
- Taking measures to resolve court disputes from a legal point of view (preparing a lawsuit, appeal and cassation complaint, etc.);
- Preparation of applications, requests and other documents required for the company’s activity;
- Development of internal documents of a legal nature;
- Analysis of changes in legislation and possible legal risks;
- Participation in the process of conclusion of agreements and negotiations with potential investors (if required by the management);
- Observance of complete confidentiality (no internal document or its copy may be removed from the Company’s office without the management’s permission);
- Immediately report to management any known violation of company policy and procedure, abuse or fraud by other employees;
- To not use the financial and material resources of the company for personal purposes or meeting personal needs;
- To agree with direct managers on the actions that are not reflected in the company’s existing policy or management;
- To perform other tasks by the Company management or direct supervisor in connection with the activities of the lawyer.
Requirements:
- University degree in Law;
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Excellent command of Russian and English; Azerbaijani – native;
- Highly responsible;
- Efficient team player;
- Must have excellent communication skills;
- Display comprehensive knowledge of the Labor Code, Tax Code and the Code of Azerbaijan Republic on Administrative Violations;
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of labour protection rules and norms.
